Have ever wanted to see what failure looks like. How about the Associated Press Stylebook T-shirts at the American Copy Editors Society conference. It seems AP cannot give their T-shirts away. (Twitchy)
If you needed any more proof that T-shirt carry a message far beyond the ink and design, you only need to look at the example of AP not being able to give away free T-shirts sporing their stylebook. I don't know the details, but it appears there's a general consensus is displeasure towards AP. Or Stylebook. Regardless, why even accept a free T-shirt from an organization. First, even free, to be used a rag, taking a free T-shirt indicates some level of acceptance and approval of what the company is doing, and second, doesn't appear to be many people wanting to promote AP or their Stylebook.
If you want a hint of AP's efforts to generate their own hate club, look at this entry.
