Volunteers of Madison 'May Day' cleanup to wear T-shirt with design by his school freshman

Ella Grant, a fifth grader at Madison's (NJ) Central Avenue School, had her design selected for the art which will be printed on T-shirts of nearly 900 volunteers.  The free T-shirts, available to all volunteers, will be worn on the first saturday of May, which is known as the 'May Day' cleanup around Madison, NJ.  (Madison Eagle)

The annual 'May Day' event always includes a selection of an art design my a Madison school district student.  While no money was being raised for the school or a notable charity, its a great way to create a strong sense of community.  A committee picks a winning design from submission of students, and that image is printed on the T-shirts of the volunteers as they perform beautification acts of public spaces throughout the city.  Well done, Madison, NJ.  Well done.

Do good things.
